GuptaChairman Of The BoardSaugata joined Marico Limited in January 2004 as head of Marketing. In the year 2007 he was elevated to become the CEO of the Company's India business. In April 2013, Marico restructured its Consumer Product Business (CPB) in India and International Business Group (IBG) under Saugata's leadership as the CEO of Marico Limited, the unified FMCG business. In March 2014, Saugata was appointed as the Managing Director of the Company. Prior to joining Marico, Saugata was Chief of Marketing and Group Sales at ICICI Prudential and was part of the start up team that was instrumental in establishing ICICI Prudential as the largest private sector Insurance firm in the country. Saugata started his career with Cadbury's where he spent 9 years in various roles in Sales and Marketing in India and the United Kingdom. His last role was Marketing Manager – Chocolates. Saugata has 20 years of experience primarily in FMCG sector. He has an engineering degree from IIT Kharagpur and is an alumnus of IIM Bangalore.
KarveVice President & Head - Corporate Finance, Marico Limited Vivek brings with him over 19 years of experience and is currently Executive Vice President and Head - Corporate Finance at Marico.
Vivek's current role at Marico covers Corporate Finance and includes Accounting, Direct & Indirect Taxation, Treasury, Company Secretarial, Accounts Payable and Payroll.
Vivek joined Marico in 2000, as a Manager in Corporate Finance. Over the years, he has contributed to various sections which include Business Finance. He has played an active role in Marico's M&A effort. He led the project for an initiative towards automating the performance forecasting and budgeting processes in the company.
Vivek is also a member of FICCI's Corporate Finance Committee.
Vivek's experience spans across Finance, Banking, and IT, across 3 other organizations namely Siemens, ICICI Bank and P&G.Vivek is a Chartered Accountant (1994), a Cost Accountant (1993) and holds a Bachelors in Commerce degree from the University of Bombay (1991).
MishraChief Operating Officer (COO)Sanjay Mishra is the Chief Operating Officer (COO) – India Sales and Bangladesh Business at Marico Ltd. He is responsible for the Go To Market (GTM) Transformation endeavour in line with Marico's portfolio of the future, and reinforce the Sales function. Along with spearheading the Sales for Marico India, he also oversees the Marico Business in Bangladesh.
Prior to Marico, Sanjay was working with PepsiCo where he started his career as Sales Director - Traditional Trade for India in 2009. He became the Market Unit General Manager (West) India, in 2010, and rose up the corporate ladder to his last position as Senior Director - GTM and Sales Capability at PepsiCo AMENA (Asia, Middle East and North Africa) in 2013. In this role, he was responsible for delivering GTM transformation in key AMENA markets. Prior to PepsiCo, he was Vice President - Merchandising with Spencers Retail Limited in India in 2006, where he was instrumental in expanding Spencers footprint. He led the initiative of getting international retail food chain “Au Bon Pain”, a Boston US based Bakery Café Chain to India in tie-up with his company and lead various new ventures.
Sanjay brings with him around 20 years of experience, and has had a long association with Marico where he led and supported various Sales leadership roles at operational and strategic levels from 1997 to 2006. The last role he held in Marico was Head – Sales Development. He started his career with Dunlop India in 1995.
Sanjay did his B.Sc. in 1992 from City College, Kolkata and completed his Business Management from Institute of Management Technology, Ghaziabad in 1995.
Managing Director Naveen brings with him an illustrious 15 years of experience with two heavy weights in the FMCG scene in India, namely PepsiCo and Asian Paints. He did his BBA in 1999 from University of Lucknow and completed his PGP in Management (MBA) from Indian Institute of Management, Indore in 2001. Naveen joins us from PepsiCo where he started his career as General Manager – Channel Development in 2008. He was later promoted as VP Sales (East India & Exports) where he drove disproportionate growth and ensured a step jump in distribution through Go To Market transformation.
His last assignment was Sales Director – North Market Unit, one of the largest and most profitable Market Units for PepsiCo India. Prior to this Naveen has had seven years of experience with Asian Paints across retail and institutional sales. In his various roles with Asian Paints, he has worked across East, North & West regions in India.
Independent Director Mr. Ashraful Hadi was appointed as an Independent Director for Marico Bangladesh Limited with effect from April 25th 2016, for the next three years.
An advocate of the High Court Division of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh and Barrister-at-Law from the U.K., Mr. Hadi is a Partner at Dr. Kamal Hossain and Associates, one of the most reputed and the leading law firm in Bangladesh. He has over 15 years of experience as a lawyer both at home and abroad. His practice over the years has involved working with various multinational and local organizations where he has acted as counsel as well as provided legal advice in the areas of telecom, admiralty, large infrastructure projects, IT, commercial and international trade disputes, arbitration, banking and securities market, taxation and constitutional law and so on. He has also acted as counsel in several public interest litigations for protection of fundamental rights.
Mr. Hadi completed his B.Comm from the University of Chittagong in 1992, received LL.B., Hons from the University of London in 1998 and was called to the Bar of England and Wales , UK in 1999.
KhanIndependent DirectorMr. Masud Khan joined MBL as an independent director in October 2014. He is an experienced professional with 35 years work experience in leading multinational companies in senior management positions and has been serving as a Director in several company boards.
In the course of his career Mr. Khan has dealt with multilateral agencies in raising project finance, project management, tax planning and management, financial and management control, IFRS and financial reporting, IT, Internal audit, Strategy, HR techniques such as Hay evaluation, pay and benefits survey and assessment centers.
Mr. Khan is currently the Finance Director at Lafarge Surma Cement Limited and is responsible for Finance and IT, he is also overseeing the Legal function and is responsible for Stakeholder management and Strategy.
He is a regular lecturer at the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh since 1980 and has been conducting workshops on IFRS and EVA at the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh and Management Accountants of Bangladesh.
He is also an independent Director at Glaxo Smithskline, Bangladesh.
Mr. Khan has a Bachelor of Commerce degree (with Honors in Accountancy) from the University of Kolkata and is a Chartered Accountant, Fellow Member (FCA) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and a Cost Accountant, Fellow Member (FICWA) of the Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India.
